About Us
About this Space
Welcome to Quiet and Follow the Line, a peaceful online space created to inspire calm through creativity and movement. What began as a simple practice of drawing line art—something I could focus on during noisy moments—has grown into a reflection of how we can find peace through doing, not just sitting still.
This site honors the idea that rest doesn’t always mean stillness. Sometimes, peace looks like sewing. Or creating. Or caring. It looks like hands in motion, hearts open, and minds gently focused on the beauty of making.
Here, you’ll find line drawings, reflections, and meditative creative practices that invite you to move with intention and breathe deeper into your daily life. Whether you come for the art, the blog, or a moment to pause, I hope you leave feeling just a little more grounded.
More than a shop, this space is a conversation—one that’s helped me not only share my path, but also ask others: What are your peaceful tools?
About Me
I’m Melissa “Missa” Bourbonais—always a creative soul.
For many years, I was a single mom, finding strength in everyday moments and quiet resilience. Now, as an empty nester with a wonderful husband I was blessed to find later in life, I’m in a new season—one that allows me to reflect, create, and share more openly.
Creativity has always been a thread running through my life. But for a long time, I focused on self-help because I believed something was wrong with me. I searched, studied, and tried to fix what I thought was broken.
Through years of self-evaluation, I’ve come to a much gentler truth: there was never anything wrong with me. I just see the world a little differently—and that’s not a flaw. It’s a gift. We all experience life in our own way. This space is where I honor that truth, both for myself and for others who may be on similar paths.
My hope is that Quiet and Follow the Line encourages you to embrace the tools that bring you peace, however unconventional or creative they may be. There is beauty in the way you see things.
